Amphenol FSI is honored to provide the fiber optic back bone (fiber cable assemblies and electrical to optical converters) of a land seismic operation for oil and gas exploration. Amphenol FSI’s mTACH connector and specially designed media converters have been deployed successfully for multiple years in this application. This year’s deployment is the latest of such operations and underscores the continued reliability and ruggedness of AFSI fiber optic designs.
During a trip to witness the actual deployment, AFSI General Manager Ben Reed remarked: “Seeing our product deployed in a tactical application, all while experiencing sub-zero conditions, underscores the ruggedness of AFSI solutions. This is the true definition of ‘harsh environment’. AFSI is extremely proud to offer a rugged, reliable solution to our end customer in support of their mission.”
