Allen, TX. 02/08/11 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI) is pleased to announce the approval of Interstate Connecting Components (ICC) as a Value-Added Distributor for AFSI’s MIL-PRF-28876 connector series. Both AFSI and DLA Land and Maritime have given ICC the go-ahead to begin assembling M28876 connectors in their Moorestown, NJ facility.

ICC has long been a leading distributor of M28876 multi-channel fiber optic connectors, M29504 fiber optic termini, and M83522 single channel ST connectors to the defense marketplace. As a Value-Added Distributor, ICC will be able to take that market leadership to the next level by keeping a vast, ready-to-assemble, component inventory available to support even the most obscure M28876 configurations. Most connectors will be supplied under ICC’s innovative T’Da!® Two-Day Assembly program providing customers the connectors they need on a just-in-time basis.

AFSI’s Mike Dabrowski, Market Manager-Shipboard Systems says, “Over the last six years, AFSI and ICC have worked closely together to become major suppliers in the shipboard fiber optic connector market. We are very excited by the opportunity to further grow our presence in the market with ICC. This new capability will allow customers to obtain the high quality AFSI M28876 connectors and backshells from a source they trust more quickly than ever before.”

Scott Jacobs, President, ICC says, “We look forward to applying our value-added expertise to this Mil-Spec fiber optic connector family. Our AS 9100-registered quality management system and our state-of-the-art logistics capabilities will insure that our customers will receive the parts they need, when they need them.
