Amphenol Fiber Systems International's applications in the petroleum and oil seismic industries mainly revolve around three distinct areas:

For oil well monitoring applications, AFSI has the industry experience to custom design a downhole fiber optic connector suitable for use in the extreme temperature and pressure environments of a producing oil well.

AFSI has several connectors ideally suited for land-based geoseismic applications. Fiber Systems International can supply single-channel and multi-channel ruggedized connectors specially made for deployable seismic system that can be picked up and relocated quickly and easily. In addition, Fiber Systems International has a specially designed backpack and reel combination that can be worn by field personnel to quickly and easily lay down and retrieve fiber optic cable in the field, making this a one-person operation.

AFSI has supplied multi-channel hybrid optical/electrical inserts to the marine geoseismic industry for use in towed-array geoseismic systems. All connectors for this application are custom designed to suit customer requirements.
